Real, sustainable solutions to end hunger do exist. In Gokwe North, Zimbabwe, Rise Against Hunger and ADRA International have been working with local communities to support long-term food security.
Committed to the communities Rise Against Hunger serves around the world, FedEx has hosted over 70 Rise Against Hunger Experience meal packaging events since 2014 to support people facing hunger.
For five years, Rise Against Hunger has worked with ADRA International to address food insecurity in Gokwe North, Zimbabwe. What began as emergency school feeding evolved into a sustainable agriculture project.
Our volunteer-packaged meals both provide caloric intake and contain 20 vitamins and minerals. Our meals address the top concerns for micronutrient deficiencies and work to prevent other common deficiencies.
Michael, age 42, is a rice farmer living with his wife and children in Malawi’s Karonga district. In 2020, he joined the Harvesting Prosperity and Resilience project, implemented by Rise Against Hunger and FOCUS.
On July 19, 700 passionate Hershey employees packaged 285,000 nutritious meals at Giant Center in Pennsylvania. And with these meals packaged, The Hershey Company also reached 2 million meals packaged since 2013.
