Adequate nutrition during the First 1,000 Days, a critical period that begins at conception and spans to a child’s second birthday, is crucial for physical growth, brain development and overall health.
May 28 is World Hunger Day. Started in 2011 by The Hunger Project, it is an annual day focused on raising awareness and encouraging action to end world hunger.
Rise Against Hunger supports several programs that provide immediate nutritional assistance and lasting, long-term impact for mothers like Aiza, whose children receive support from their school feeding program.
