A Sweet Milestone: Hershey Celebrates 2 Million Meals Packaged with Rise Against Hunger

Earlier this month on July 19, 700 passionate Hershey employees came together at Giant Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania, to package 285,000 nutritious meals — which filled an entire shipping container — in five hours! But that wasn’t the only impressive thing about this event. With the meals packaged on July 19, The Hershey Company also reached 2 million meals packaged with Rise Against Hunger.

This outstanding, impactful milestone was a moment to celebrate at the event! Hershey has partnered with us since 2013. Over the past 10 years, they’ve demonstrated their strong commitment to helping end global hunger by engaging over 5,000 people and hosting 18 Rise Against Hunger Experience meal packaging events. 

The 2 million meals packaged by Hershey since 2013 have enabled Rise Against Hunger to nourish lives around the world. Meals packaged by Hershey have been distributed in several countries, including Haiti, Cambodia, El Salvador, South Africa and more, to provide people facing food insecurity with the nutrition they need to live healthy, active lives. 

Hershey’s partnership has truly helped to create real impact in the work to end hunger over the past ten years, and we’re so grateful to reach this 2 million meal milestone with them! Check out the recap below of the July 19 event where they reached this awesome milestone:
